Miami Hot Spot!

Miami! I have always wanted to go to Miami.

The night life. The people watching. The weather, beaches, shopping, parties, restaurants. So much to do so little time. Another great website came across my desk that I want to check out, Miami singles. Maybe I'll find some friends to chill with for fun in the sun.

I'm not searching for Mr. Right and I certainly don't want to run into Mr. Wrong! Been there, done that. On this website, Miami dating, there's instant messaging and video chatroom. They bost their profiles are 100% verified. I'd just like to meet a few new friends in Miami.

The website is free to register. I think I'll give it a try just for kicks. At least I can visit video and audio in a chat room for fun!

Men in uniform & naughty cycles

Cycled for the 3rd time today. Not my menstrual cycle, I traded that in for a ten speed, ha ha! This is actually an old re-post.
(before & after pics inside!)

As in the previous 2 posts about bike rides today, I promised to take pics of our beautiful local fire department. The last post I confessed I chickened out. This time, I did it. But, there's more to this story in regards to local emergency services.

Just off from my house, the trek is a ways uphill. I huff and I puff and I cycle that damn hill. So, when I reach the top and see my fun, easy, breezy ride down hill on my way to the grocery store, I let loose.

Weeeeee, right passed and through the stop sign at the bottom of the hill.
I figure it's no big whoop because the way th
e cross streets are laid out, you can easily see for quite a ways both directions if any cross traffic is approaching.

What I didn't account for, was a STATE POLICE TRUCK and local yocal sitting at the bottom of the hill, yucking it up! Lucky for me, they either didn't see me, or they didn't care, or they did see me (and my gargantuan hooters) and were mesmerized in aww. Picture the wind whisping through my hair, the sweat glistening across my heaving chest and their mouths gaped open.
Naaaa, the wind wasn't whisping my hair, I was wearing a helmet, ha ha!

Now, for some before and after pics of our Toledo, Oregon Fire Department:

um, old building, fire hazzard

Yay, new and beautiful!

Don Sullivan is The DogFather

Everything you ever need to know about dog training for a very reasonable price!

Don Sullivan's website already has a wealth of information available to gleen and I highly recommend this best dog training video. Check out this website and see there's plenty more from this expert that not just a whispering t.v. star has to offer.

The first link I checked out on Don Sullivan's website is the 'dog myths' tab. There you will find so much information to scroll through. There are specific quotes from common misunderstandings about dogs with responses and solutions to posed scenarios. Here are a couple of excerpts from that page:

Dogs won’t bite the hand that feeds them…A very dangerous myth! Food is one of the main elements of life that dogs are willing to fight for, and unless you establish yourself as your dog’s respected leader, you could be putting yourself and your family at risk! (Refer to “How it Works” page).

You can never trust a Beagle off of a leash; once he is on a scent, he will never come back…Not true, if you use an effective training System such as Don’s. People also say, “Sight dogs will always chase after prey,” and “Pointers cannot be trusted around birds.” A dog can be trained to override his natural born instincts and happily redirect his attention to more desirable activities. (Refer to Q21 and Q22 under FAQs).

The next tab I checked out is the 'academy' page. Another full page of lots of great information. It's also great to learn that this world-renowned instructor takes time to teach fellow dog lovers to become their own 'Accredited DogFather Instructor.'

Here are some testimonials from happy clients:
I am a dog trainer and I can tell you that I have never seen anything that works better at training dogs quickly and effortlessly. It is simply amazing the way the command collar works.
Dave

---
I finally received my DVDs and I have been learning a lot. Don Sullivan is wonderful! Ginger actually sits there and watches TV with me. It's just too funny. Great product.
Valerie, Ocean City, Maryland
----
We ordered Mr. Sullivan's program; skeptical, like so many other folks. It really works! Even our 10 year old daughter with a physical disability has been able to get our rowdy one year old doxie, Ellie, to behave much better! We have been working on the program as a whole family and I can tell you it makes a difference right away.
Kelly

One of the most important links I am always sure to search for and click on whenever I review and blog about any website is the 'contact' page. I ALWAYS want to see the actual physical address and at least one good phone number. The DogFather offers every element for contact and a form to email him. When folks are spending their hard earned money, we want to reach a live person and be assured nothing is a scam.

This is an extremely impressive website offering so much information. I can only imagine that purchasing the very reasonably priced DVD sets will have everything I ever need to know about dogs. I don't plan to just imagine it for long. I think I'm going to take the 'bite' and fetch it. Couldn't resist. I am definitely bookmarking this website in my shopping AND helpful folders!

I do, in fact, have a dog. He's the most non-dog I have ever had. He is more like a cat, just sleeps a lot. He has health issues and can't do much. But every dog has their own little issues. Our dear Petey, no matter how lazy-bones he is, once in a while he has his bursts of energy. One thing I have never been able to trust him with is anything off-leash. He will just point himself straight ahead and go go go. He does NOT respond to any command off-leash. So, I just may find myself picking up one of Don Sullivan's dog training videos for off-leash training. Petey needs to be put in his place ;-)

Dirty Girl

What sponge bath?

Yesterday the landlord informed me he needed to shut off the water in order to fix something downstairs. OK, no prob.

Last night the landlord shows up and says it won't be fixed until today. OK, still no prob, I can be understanding and flexible. I'm sure my kid won't be the stinkiest stinker in class.......

Silly 'dirty girl' video inside! enjoy

He assured me, promised me it would be fixed Tues A.M. I wait until 3:30pm and the (uh um) landlord HASN'T EVEN SHOWN UP YET. Ok, I have no where to go. But Wed we are leaving to spend Thanksgiving with my honey's family and I am meeting them for the first time. I have laundry to do, not to mention crotches to wash.

I call the landlord at 4pm Tues and he says he'll be there within 2 hours, "I promise." Famous last words, eh? 6:30 rolls around and no one is here working on the water. I tell my guy, "I'll give him until 7pm and then I'm demanding a plumber just come out and do the job." I'm too nice - or I hate conflict - becaaaaaaaauuuuuse.........

7:30 rolls around and I don't call because I'M AFRAID I'LL RIP HIM A NEW ONE OVER THE PHONE! Finally, he's here, as I type and I hear water running in the pipes again. Lucky bastard.

Feng Shui Resource Website

Here's an interesting website that happened across my desk,
at just the right time, place and energy. Because you know Feng Shui wouldn't have it any other way. Feng Shui Doctrine

Everything I ever wanted to learn about Feng Shui right at my fingertips in feng shui ebooks. Hundreds if not thousands have practiced the art and written about it for centuries. There must be something powerful and true at work here.

We all know we feel a lot better just when the house is straightened up. We can unlock the proper energy flow of the household to exist in comfort and harmony by reading up on Feng Shui. The lame way I try to describe my minimal understanding of Feng Shui, I do not do it justice. Here are some excerpts directly from their website.

First of all you should create your individual feng shui map. It means: your best geographical direction, numbers and colors which bring you success, riches and health. You can order it in the section Individual feng shui or create it on your own with the help of book "Create Your Luck with Personal Feng Shui"

Excellent, there is a tab on 'meditation' with a free ebook to read online or you can download the book! I am definitely bookmarking this website. There is so much valuable information here. I have to stop blogging about it now and dive in. I can't wait to read up and learn so much more about Feng Shui than I ever knew was possible. I am going to put this to good use!

Feeling the pinch? Putting the squeeze on me?

Gave myself a slide and am waiting for my morning cycle until later.
I don't want to navigate cycling with the morning traffic

(even as little as there is in this podunk town). I'll hit it later. In the meantime,

I realized last night I need to ramp up my content. I love surfing around and reading up on news and celebrity gossip. I noticed a lot of my favorite sites get their news from other sources, so, I'll just keep plugging it all in too, from my favorite sources, from their sources, from their sources, from their 2 friends, and so on and so on. Wasn't that prell? I don't remember the 70's very well.

Here's an interesting little article about a woman that was crushed in a trash compactor. Got what she deserved? Not for me to say, but some could say it feels like fate. Felt like
a hell of a lot worse than fate for her. The 2 cohorts were trying to escape a shoplifting spree after spraying a security guard with mace. This dumb chic desides to hide behind the trash compactor. The CNN article says 'behind'. I don't know how you get crushed behind a trash compactor, and apparently she thought that was safe. How do you NOT escape a compactor when you're behind it?
What would be your last thoughts? I wouldn't want to test that theory.

That's too morbid of a thought, even for me. Why did I pose it? Not enough coffee yet this morning, I guess. I am a bit off my game since I flaked on my morning cycle. I am hard on myself when I don't follow through. Besides, I was all geared up, woke up at 5:30am (damn cat) and was even out the door. Now I'm still here, at my desk.

I searched for 'dead body in trash compactor' and found this nasty thumb as a spider bite. Eeeewwwww I looked at the spider more closely, EFFER! We have those buggers all over here. Brown recluse, hobos, wolf and gigantica. I have an icky story ab
out the gigantica. It's a long story, so maybe another time. All this spider talk and the images are grossing me out. It takes a lot to trip me up, but spiders are waaaay up there on the fear factor for me. I HATE those nasty lil shits.I wonder if the poor chum ever lost his thumb. Looks like a home remedy. Wouldn't a regular doc cut some of that DEAD black skin off? Maybe he's some weird science geek and actually likes his experiment. He also keeps a pickle jar in the fridge of his other bodily waste. yum

Now, I see the fiddle. People have said, look out for the fiddle, or you know it's a brown recluse if you see the fiddle. Do you reeeeaaally think I am going to get close enough to look and verify if the little bastard remembered to bring his instrument to class? Remember, he's more afraid of me than I am of him, and he's programmed for fight not flight. He'll bite my eyeball out!

Web Hosting Geeks

Blogging at 4 a.m., I must be a geek.

Too much overhead in my head which is better left to the experts. I need professional help with my blog and juggling my actual numbers vs code. One of the best website resources to come across my desk is Web Hosting Geeks.

With the internet growing daily, it can be so overwhelming to compare and decide what are the best resources to rely on. This great website has compiled all that data for you and has spelled out through links and pages of valuable information.

The home page boldly boasts the top 10 web hosts in the market today. From there, you can define your search by more detail, searching for 'Green' web hosting companies that are just as conscientious about the Earth as you, search free domain names, look up information on Yahoo and much more.

There is a link for you to submit your own customer reviews too. Click on the 'webmaster review' tab and there is a hug list of great reviews by recognized, reputable sites and you can read all their reviews as well as their customer reviews on top of that.

Just before heading off, because it is past 4:30 a.m. now and I need to wind down off the internet sometime, the last link to catch my sleepy eyes is 'cheap website hosting'. Not that I am cheap, but I am sure there are plenty of us out there that appreciate the option to start shopping at the clearance rack.

No matter what your budget and webhosting needs, I highly recommend WebHostingGeeks.com.

Diseases on the rise, vaccinations not

This story hits a little close to home for me. Unfortunately, it's not just a story, it's an epidemic across our nation and hundreds of children are at risk.

One of my sisters refuses to inoculate her children. I have worried about them over the years. Not dwelling on it, but when you hear of certain outbreaks and diseases on the rise that were once curbed by vaccinations, I can't help but wonder when it's going to hit my sister's household.

She makes such statements like, 'boosting the immune system, eating healthy, keeping your immune system healthy', but don't you think thousands of mothers long ago ate healthy too, wanted the best for their kids, ate vegetables and stayed away from the crap? Or, were they all just a bunch of dumb schmucks back then that had no clue about eating right? There was still widespread outbreaks of disease, and guess what? Since the newest 'trend' of 'scare' of vaccines, disease is on the RISE.

My blood pressure is on the rise. From msnbc.com, read the full article here.

Notion 3 Web Design

There are many things I need help with. But if I had to choose a short list of immediate fixes, I'd put website design help right at the top of that list.

I fancy myself a smart chic, but I cannot keep up with the ever increasing variety and fantastic design options available out there, just to update my little blog. It's time to admit I need professional help! I found the perfect team to make me pretty and functional; my blog anyway. Web Site Design Company - Notion3

Looks like they are a pretty busy crew. Click on Tips & Tricks and maybe that will be updated and loaded by the time you read this. I was hoping to find some quick tips and tricks for myself. But I'll move on to FAQ. Oops, they're busy again. There are categories of FAQ topics, but when you click on those links another blank page.

They do post and boast impressive credits, being a featured Denver web design company and listed as a Top Design Firms top member. Oh, under 'our services' tab, I see there are several frequently asked questions posted there that are answered when you click on the link. I think they are just updating the content and launching their new site. It looks like they know what they are doing.

There is a 'contact us' tab, but uh oh, I sure was hoping to find some solid contact info there, an address, email and phone number. New customers contacting a potential service provider always wants to see how willing and readily available they make themselves accessible and open to contact. They offer a form to fill out to contact them, but do not offer their details.

Sacramento Dentist

Long overdue for a visit to the dentist, this website came across my desk in perfect timing. We are about to move back to California and now I know where to go to get my teeth fixed.

Not only do I need to catch up on my preventative maintenance, but since I was a bad girl, I need some good restorative work done too. After some restorative procedure, I have always wanted to get some really nice veneers. I have tried several whitening kits, but a long lasting set of excellent quality veneers is the way to go.

I am missing a couple teeth too, so I think I am going to need some bridge work. Arden Dental Care, a Sacramento Dentist, offers many forms of payment methods as well as payment installment schedule options.

Sac is not far from where we are relocating, and I have some friends that I would love to drop in and see. Not the Schwartzeneggers.

Hmm, let's see. I'll take the cheapest airfare on the crappiest flight over to Austria.

Because baby, when I get there I'm going on a crime spree! Oh, I won't hurt anyone, won't even rob them of even the chingiest of pocket change. Maybe I'll vandalize a building that can be easily fixed with paint anyway, or pull a road strip of nails in front of a cop car. All I know is, on my Austrian vacation - I'm going HERE!

Compression Connectors

I have posted about tools before. Being a single mom, on our own, it is important to keep a tool supply well stocked. Here is another website I discovered all about compression connectors. Just for starters, you'll find an FS6U for only .42 cents. The FS6U compression connector will fit any RG6 or RG6 quad shielded cable.

I don't have an immediate need for this myself but I would like to order some connectors and tools. I see a tall, dark and handsome neighbor with a need to borrow from me in my future!

While I am at the site, I get a kick out of the variety of connectors and tools offered. This is a whole new world to me. Now, when I am at some poker party and I'm in the kitchen gabbing with the ladies over margaritas and I hear the men yucking it up venting their frustration of how difficult it is to find the right compression connector for their latest Ken doll auto-job, or whatever it is men do, I can cooly chime in with my impressive knowledge and steer them to the best website to solve all their problems. Well, let's face it, nothing can solve all men's problems. I don't think Kuato has a website yet, does he?

I encourage you to visit compression connectors.com today.
Compressionconnector.com sales double bubble compression connectors.

Time for another website review. I am loving discovering more and more, never-ending niches of our cyber universe!

Here is an extreme array of disturbing art. Fantastic and the ultimate in scary, this site draws me in for a closer look. I love the thrill of the chill, but only when I know it’s not real.

Both whimsy and creepy grab your gut in one shot. The photos are an amazing mix of superb genius, creative art with all our very real childhood fears. I am loving discovering this site and diving into all the itchy, creepy, crawlies.

OK, they have a sense of humor too. Check out the ‘chinheads.’ Fabulous!

Rustic Furniture

Pretty soon I am going to have a yard sale and everything must go. All my furniture, pictures, movies, cd's, baskets, games and more.

I am getting ready to move and I guess I will be sleeping on the floor for a while.

But I just discovered a new website that I've bookmarked to shop later, after my move. I want rustic furniture to replace my old stuff.

I have always loved the log cabin look of a home. I don't have a log cabin, let alone a home of my own. I rent. So, the next best thing is I'll treat myself to some rustic log cabin furniture.

I would so love to curl up into this beautiful rustic king sized bed. That is going to be so cozy after the move. There are so many styles to choose from. I am so excited about this website. I have never seen anything like this in mainstream stores. Please check out this website featuring rustic furniture, and place an order today.

Time for another review of a great website find! While Luis Santi Jr. admits he would like to update this site, ‘someday’, it is still a great find. He has links to his other ‘professional’ site with an impressive portfolio of design jobs.

But what I want to feature now is his phatterism.com. The home page is simple and advert free. Click on any of the first offered links and you’ll soon discover why the display is simple; he then walks across your computer and reacts to your requested link!
OK, I’m a simp and easily amused, but I say this is pretty darn clever. I sure had not come across a home page like this before.

Dig in deeper and he has an array of great pics. You have to watch his “What really matters” short clip. Looks like he has been supported by awesome parents! Right On! He gets so much fan mail, that he has created a FAQ section to reply to common requests.

Great website showcasing a great example of the great American dream. Prospering in the land of opportunity.

Bronze Markers and Plaques

Posted by Karen Falcon | Posted in | Posted on 11:42 PM

This interesting website came across my desk, BronzeMarkersAndPlaques.com.

I have been thinking lately about updating my will and some changes I have to make some decisions on. I always thought I wanted to be cremated versus being buried in a casket. But both standards have their formality and ritual.

What does my daughter do with what's left of the rest of me, leave me in a box? I suppose by then I won't care. But it will undoubtedly be an extremely difficult time for my daughter, so to keep all matters as pleasant, beautiful and ceremonial as possible, I should make arrangements to honor 'her' with a special burial marker for my remains. After all, you can bury an urn just as well as a casket. Even if I am scattered at sea or atop the highest mountain, I think I shall want a timeless, lasting, beautiful cast bronze plaque, bronze grave marker, somewhere.

It's a good idea to arrange orders for the entire family. Is that a morbid thought? No, it's best to prepare for these matters and just file it away safe. More on the best website to take care of all your questions, concerns and special ordering inside.

Click on the 'about us' and you are greeted with a brilliant and powerfully moving video on the care and quality that goes into each of their individually hand crafted pieces. I have to add, the video reminds me there is far more to commemorate and honor with bronze memorial plaques than grave markers alone. Park dedications, War memorials, historical markers and more.

Along with the 'about us' tab are lists of testimonials. Here is one directly from the website: "The rocks we ordered look fabulous! The service was excellent too. I only wish I had known about you, and that your product was available, years ago!
It would have saved me a lot of money and trouble! Thanks so much. I'll pass your details along when we have our next development directors meeting in Cleveland. Why don't you send me some brochures. Great product!"
Barbara Gross, Director
Menorah Park Foundation, Beachwood, OH
www.MenorahPark.org

The website offers a fantastic photo gallery to show you clearly in high definition detail the beautiful craftsmanship and exceptional quality of their products.
There are easy to click on 'how to order' tabs that walk you through the simple process of placing your valued order as well as a 'contact us' tab for customer service. There definitely are 800 numbers listed and you can email them directly for person to person service.

I have already bookmarked this website, BronzeMarkersAndPlaques.com, in my to-do file. I encourage you to check them out and place an order. You will NOT be disappointed.
