I am inspired

A woman after my own heart. No, I am not gay.

I saw this lady, Heather Armstrong, on Northwest AM this morning, or is it Good Morning AM Northwest? I don't really know what it is called and I don't care. I usually do not even watch that morning show because the man & lady duo on that show annoy the piss out of me.

But I was waking up late, my remote arm was tucked snugly under my lazy slab and my left arm was nestled against my cheek. I lay there, watching the t.v., completely annoyed at the pasty guy talking about how boring his vacation getaway was and listening to him whine and belittle his wife on national television. He looked like a real prize to me. I hope his wife rips him a new one later. I bet she doesn't even watch his morning show anymore. If I were his wife, I would not be proud of his show, I would be disgusted. He was not "morning quirky" or perky at all. What a drag.

Anyway, I stayed tuned because it caught my ear that they had a guest speaker coming up. A lady that checked herself in to a mental hospital after her daughter was 18 months. Raising my daughter all alone since I was pregnant, I had many insane moments. I had to stay tuned to hear this lady's story.

Turns out, she is in town for her book-signing, 'It sucked and then I cried.' After watching her spot on t.v., I checked out her website dooce.com. Reading her blog, I am refreshed at her candid writing style. She admits she let it all hang out more, but took down some archive posts about family and a little talk with herself about boundaries.

Browsing her FAQ section, I found this:
"I'm surprised you haven't been reported to child welfare with how public you are about some of the things you think and do regarding your daughter. Paper towels are very dangerous for your daughter to chew on. She could suffocate. Don't let her be alone with them. I'm amazed at how foolish you can be sometimes.
When you call DCFS, please get the story straight. Not only do I leave her alone with paper towels, I set her in the middle of a flea-infested floor and surround her with sharp objects and porn. Then I turn on a wood-burning stove in the corner of the room and seal all the windows. Before I leave the room and lock the door, I stick a bottle full of vodka in her mouth to muffle the screaming."

She has been writing her blog since 2001 and must have pretty good readership now, because she has some advertising on her site, she has another site momversation.com and she mentioned on this morning's show that her blog pays the bills. So, that inspires me to keep up with my blog. I am only about a year into it. Just recently I had been second guessing myself about the whole blog experience and my personal direction within my blogs. But reading her blogs, you can tell she is just being herself. And that is all I can be, myself. She has two books published already. That idea has been in the back of my mind and I think today it is time to bring my book idea to the forefront.

I just joined momversation.com. I am looking forward to new friends and 'mom connections.'

Pneumatic Tools Roundup - Stanley Bostitch

Every young adult should start a tool kit. Every good parent should have taught you this and at the very least, taught you what basic tools are an essential necessity, invaluable.

My daughter and I have been on our own for many years. Not having a man around the house, power tools are even more of an absolute necessity in life and UNLIKE any old man, my power tools & I will never part! I say that with a smile. Take it like a man.

Like the man that you are or the exceptionally brilliant woman reading my blog, read up on these Pneumatic Tools inside.

Okay, so this particular url leads us to a Stanley Bostitch in the UK. I can get away with this for three reasons. 1)I am a smart cookie and know that anyone reading my blog anywhere around the world can and will shop from this Stanley Bostitch link. 2)I have smart readers that know I only post opportunities of merit and 3)I have friends and family in London that will read this and check out some power tools to add to their collection.

Interesting, and perhaps a great call by whomever provided this url, that the link takes us to a mini-tutorial and just how the pneumatic tools work. I am always game for putting a few more wrinkles in my brain. As long as my noggin is getting wrinklier and smarter, who cares how many wrinkles are creasing or decreasing anywhere else?

The website offers a wide variety of many pneumatic tools to choose from. Construction tools, tools needed for making furniture, around the yard for shed & fencing, automotive tools (I need more of those) some 'Do it Yourself mini kits and more to choose from. There's a tab for 'Tools by Application' and you see even further, lists upon lists of more tools by category.

There is a bright red 'buy online' button staring back at me. I think I just decided a smart investment deal for some of that last remaining tax return. Just doing my part to give back to the economy. Don't you have a little shopping to do?

We Love You Missy!

Here's our dear Missy kitty.

She is on her last leg. She's been hanging out in the bathroom, resting by the window for the last 2 days and I haven't seen her leave the bathroom to eat or drink. Pretty sure she's on her way to spirit.

She's at least 16-18yrs old, maybe older. No one is exactly sure her age. My daughter and I adopted her 6 years ago from a friend, whom adopted her and they had her about 8 years and they adopted her from someone that had her already....
She wouldn't let me clean up the little goobers from the corners of her eyes, so I just let it be.
She's peaceful and purring. (update: Missy is at least eating and drinking now. We put food and water in the bathroom for her...she still has not stepped foot out of the bathroom.)
(there is no continue)

Every time you can think of it, please add a link to your email, your twitter, your posts on facebook, everywhere you can to help get Lena's name and music across the world.

Lena is looking for a record label to sign her. Whereas her talent shines and she will undoubtedly have a record label to sign her, there are realistic steps she needs to take, tasks to accomplish and help from everyone to get her there.
I am sure you will love her song. Pass her link along to your kids and their friends too!

"Produce the Note!"

Good Morning America this morning produced powerful help to the thousands struggling to keep their homes out of foreclosure.
Three little words to tell your mortgage company when they are breathing down your neck, and they don't want to hear, "I love you."

"Produce the Note" is the valuable phrase du jour being used, but not abused. There is legal precedence behind the words, and documents to file to back you up in court. Thousands of folks from shore to shore and the words spread like wildfire in all the land between.

There is a website to help get you started, to hold your hand through tough economic times. Produce your documents and keep telling yourself they have to produce the note, buys you timely weeks, if not months to scrape up enough to get by. But more importantly, that time can land you that new job, not a hand-out, but time and legal backing to hand you back your dignity and your life.

With the thousands upon, literally stacked upon thousands of foreclosures and the mountains of paperwork to process the homes and people within and without their homes, you can stump and stall the folks holding the purse strings.

It will take them quite some time to actually dig up that original note you signed, the note proving you actually do owe them, right there written in black and white. In the meantime, you can dig yourself out of a hole.

Often times, even before your steps to produce to them a filed document demanding their note, if you simply ask them who owns your mortgage, they will say, "I don't know." With the latest wave of banks selling off bad debt left and right, your file has been lost in the shuffle. All they have is a little electronic blurb on a screen that has a name that looks like you, maybe some electronic ssn number that sure looks like yours. You get the idea. Ultimately, once you file your document, they are obliged to produce the note.

Go get em, get some time, get a job and get your home and life back.

I am turning 40 this year and for the past year, I have been obsessed with keeping my skin youthful.
I started to type 'youthful looking'. I want my skin youthful healthy, not just youthful looking. I am always looking for the latest best of the best products that will finally deliver on what they promise. I highly recommend Emerge Labs Organic Skin Care.

Organics is the way to go. The least processed and most natural without additives is so healthy for your skin. I have discovered an excellent website boasting an amazing new product with an even more amazing technology process derived from plant cells that actually help to boost and sustain human stem cells for anti-aging techniques.

From their website; "Emerge Labs Organic Skin Care presents a revolutionary technology that protects skin stem cells and combats chronological aging. The breakthrough patent-pending active organic ingredient, PhytoCellTec Malus Domsestica, boosts the production of human skin stem cells and protects human skin stem cells from stress, thus decreasing wrinkles and producing younger, fresher-looking skin."

If you "become a fan" of Emerge Labs Organic Skin Care on facebook, they will mail you a free sample of their new Swiss Apple Serum. I just became a fan and sent in my email requesting the free sample. I can't wait to try it out when it arrives.

Clicking on the all products tab, there lists a ton of super products to choose from, all at very reasonable prices. I was honestly, pleasantly surprised. The look of their website and the powerful effects promised by their statements, I thought I was going to be looking at a fortune to have found the fountain of youth.
But the products are just as moderately priced as what you will find in convenience stores and much lower than you will find in a department store!

There are full lines of many skin care products to choose from. I am drawn to the anti-aging list and am happy to see there are more than just a few to suit many skin types. I am going to order cleansing, toning, firming and moisturizing for a nice line of anti-aging products. I should post some before and after pics.

Great News! At last during these very difficult times, there are companies reportedly expanding, hiring, and doing very well.

I am very happy to read the exciting news about Cydcor, "Leading global provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams experiences steady client retention and expansion despite down economy." And I am happy to blog about the available opportunities they are providing the work force.

Award winning Cydor has accomplished top honors, earning AT&Ts top sales performance recognition for the 7th year in a row, voted one of the best places to work by San Fernando Valley's business journal, and Cydor launches 'Cydor Cares', continuing their philanthropic contributions to communities.

From their website, here are some words about Cydor: "Cydcor, Inc., is the leading provider of outsourced, face-to-face sales teams to a diverse client base of companies in a range of industries, including telecommunications, office products, retail energy and financial services. Cydcor works with a network of independently owned corporate licensee (ICL) sales offices providing clients with access to more than 3,000 sales professionals and 200+ offices in North America. The privately held company is currently based in Westlake Village, California."

Required to blog a personal post in between paid posts, I search the web for something interesting.

Not much interesting going on in my own life as of late, except the fact that the child support is late again, actually non-existent. Have to find him and fight him again for that, yay us!

So, I read on Perez Hilton that it is rumored that Rihanna and Chris 'beat her down' are planning a duet for his new album, but that of course is rumor. So I opt to post a silly video instead. Everyone loves a silly video.

Gadgets! I love gadgets. Can't get enough.
Now here is a great gadget website.
Ah man, I just discovered HTC. I think I am going to have to give back to the nation's economy, big-time. Super Brand New HTC Touch HD
I have to dive into this site more and see what else they've got!

My first looksee is to check out their BlackBerries. They have all the great styles to choose from and even the latest BlackBerry flip. OH, I just clicked on the Apple tab and there are notebooks.
Excellent, in the tab 'Ultra Mobile PCs' there are nice selections of laptops and notebooks.

Gadget Circle provides excellent customer service. On their 'About' tab, their address, phone and contact link at the bottom, are all clearly there for the customer. They even guarantee quick response.

It's been a while since I have posted on this blog, but I have been a bit blue.
I should post all about my latest saga on my 'Down, write blog' blog, but that is still out for debate.

Finally tonight, PPP is loading up some more of the much needed better paying blog post opportunities! It has been a few weeks in the waiting, since the economy took a big fat dump. Then all of a sudden tonight, we're flooded. PPP sales staff must be hittin the streets hard. Speaking of hitting the streets hard, here's a silly video inside.
